Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd appointed as Maritime Registrar

SKANReg are delighted to announce that Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants have been appointed as Maritime Registrar and join our existing network of over 35 Maritime Registrars around the world. Larsens will represnt St Kitts & Nevis in Grimsby, UK.

Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd is headed up by European Engineer (EurIng) Allan Larsen and supported by Lynsey Larsen and Karl Pizzey.

Allan Larsen, Managing Director of Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd, is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Marine Engineer with over 32 years of experience in the marine industry. His career roles have included positions as a marine engineer cadet and then progressed through roles as seagoing engineer, in machinery repair, ship design (engineering) , construction and trials. This was then followed with fifteen years with the classification society Bureau Veritas. Allan has a strong background in both the technical aspects of ships and in the classification and regulatory control of them.

Lynsey Larsen, Director of Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd, obtained a diploma in Small Craft Surveying in 2014 and was subsequently approved as an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. This diploma served to reinforce Lynsey’s existing accounting qualifications and her thirteen year background of working in the engineering industry. In her current role Lynsey is responsible for all financial aspects of Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd whilst also playing a key role in the day to day running of the company.

Karl Pizzey, General Manager of Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd, obtained a diploma in Small Craft Surveying in 2014 and was subsequently approved as an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. In his current role Karl is involved in the day to day running of the company whilst also being involved in the survey of various ship types. He also fulfils the role of Academic Course Director for the Lloyds Maritime Academy Diploma in Small Craft Surveying. Karl is responsible for all IT aspects of the company and for ensuring its smooth and safe operation in this regard.
